Our Cancellation Policy.

Cancelling an order with motorlet. 

This page will inform you on the details of our cancellation policy for lease orders, here at motorlet. These terms apply to lease contracts and orders taken out with motorlet, and it is required that all customers and potential customers acknowledge and understand how these conditions apply to their circumstances. By placing an order with us, you have automatically offered your agreement to these terms and your order will operate with these applied. This policy relates to your agreement with motorlet, and not with your finance provider.

1. CANCELLATIONS

1.1) You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of the date on which you signed this agreement. This right is set out under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges), and applies only if you cancel within the cancellation period detailed in your agreement and are a consumer within those regulations.

1.2) The 14-day cancellation period will begin from the date your sign your order form, which indicates that you have accepted the quotation, our IDD document and terms and conditions, instructing us to order a vehicle on your behalf.

1.3) If you do decide to cancel your order, you will not receive a refund of your processing fee unless this cancellation is in line with the terms detailed in clause 3.1. By law, we are permitted to withhold a reasonable fee when services that have been requested by a consumer have been carried out. This fee will be based on the services you have received prior to, and throughout, the cancellation.

1.4) Regardless of the date that you cancel the agreement, even if it is within the cancellation period outlined in clause 1.1, motorlet may still charge you the agreed processing fee for services provided.

1.5) If you cancel this agreement in accordance with clause 1.1, meaning within the 14-day period, you will be fully refunded for any deposit(s) paid on the agreement.

1.6) If you cancel this agreement outside of clause 1.1, meaning outside of the 14-day period, you will forfeit any monies paid to motorlet. This includes deposits.

2. CANCELLATION FEES

2.1) If you cancel this agreement outside of clause 1.1, meaning outside of the 14-day period, you will be liable for a cancellation fee equivalent to three monthly rentals.

2.2) If you cancel your agreement before the end date detailed in your policy and agreed to upon signing, you may be required to pay an early termination fee. This fee is set out within the contract between you and the finance provider and is therefore outside the control of motorlet. We do not have any authority over the termination fee laid out by any finance providers.

3. YOUR RIGHTS TO CANCEL

3.1) If there has been an increase in funding charges or a change to your order that falls beyond the control of motorlet, you have the right to cancel your order.

3.2)  Should you need to cancel your agreement for reasons outlined in clause 3.1, you will receive a refund for your processing fee. This is outlined fully in clause 1.3.

3.3) If you do decide to cancel your lease car order with motorlet, in accordance to our cancellation policy, you will need to notify us either by post or email. Please find our contact details on the bottom of this page.

When writing to us, please be sure to include your full name, address, and order number. 

On receipt of your cancellation, we will terminate your contract and confirm to you in writing once done so.
