What’s happening with Volkswagen Group prices?
Manufacturers that are part of the Volkswagen Group will increase vehicle prices come December 1, 2021, due to a significant rise in raw material and energy costs.
Audi, SEAT/CUPRA, SKODA, Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle brands will all raise their prices by an average of 2%. These new prices will come into effect on Wednesday December 1, 2021.
Volkswagen Group have shared that the inflation in price for manufacturing has been an ongoing issue and, whilst they’ve tried to offset these increases in other ways, they’re struggling to keep up with the mounting pressures.
Which models are affected?
Vehicles in the Audi, SEAT/CUPRA, SKODA and Volkswagen lines will experience price increases as of December 1.
The Audi A3 will see a 2.5% price increase, whilst the Audi Q4 e-tron will increase in price by 4%.
There has been a massive, unprecedented customer demand for the Audi RS 3 and, as a result, prices will need to increase by 6% so orders can be met.
All price increases will be shown on our website as they happen, but feel free to reach out to the motorlet team if you have any specific queries.
Are any lease cars not affected by the price increase?
Thankfully, there will currently be no price increase on a few select models. The Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi e-tron and Audi e-tron GT will be exempt from price increases and will remain at their current price.
You can check out these models here. There are many other lease vehicles on our site that are not part of the Volkswagen Group, so it's worth taking a look at those too.
I’m just about to order a VW Group lease car, how does this affect me?
Any order made before closing on November 30, 2021, will be price-protected at the current retail price, so you won’t need to worry if you sneak in a last-minute order.
